WHY WE SHOULD BAN PLASTIC BAGS “JABHLA”, WATER & GUTHKA POUCHES

Plastic is non-biodegradable, it takes around 10 lakhs (10,00,000) years to merge in soil.
Plastic ( colored carry bags) contains malicious chemicals which pollutes water

Plastic bags buried under soil, reduces water seepage capacity of earth resulting in lower underground water table.

Plastic bags buried in the soil inhibit its fertility.

Lack of proper garbage collection, disposal and recycling system result in clogging of storm drains and nullahs causing flooding of roads during monsoons.

When burned for disposal, toxic substances are released causing air pollution.

When we are entering any city, for miles together, all we see are these colourful plastic bags lying in the fields, on either side of the road.

Plastic bags thrown on roadside, are eaten by animals like cows & dogs resulting in their death, in water they cause death of turtles, fish by suffocation.

Plastic & Guthka pouches lying around are eyesores it makes place dirty.
