Dhaval shared his views with all delegates of the conference through a crisp but lucid presentation, highlighting the efforts of Vidyanagar Nature Club in the endeavour to save Mother Nature, in turn making life easier and healthier on the earth. His address on the topic ‘Towards compatibility of economic growth in Asian region along with global warming’ was well received by the delegates. After the thematic sessions by various speakers, fruitful deliberations were passed and the delegates went back enriched and motivated.  
The conference was addressed by the H.I.H Crown Prince, Naruhito, Prime Minister of Japan Mr. Yukio Hatoyama and the Director General of GEA. The conference was co-organised by various ministries of Japan and was thus supported by the government of Japan. It was also supported by the United Nations Development Programme and the United Nations Environment Programme. Various thematic sessions were held and Dhaval Patel of VNC actively participated in the discussions that followed. The sessions were:  

  • Toward a low carbon society; Shared Vision and Action
  • Innovative technology development and dissemination of existing advanced technologies: Part I 
  • Innovative technology development and dissemination of existing advanced technologies: Part II
  • Financing for a low-carbon society 
  • Lifestyle reforming toward a low-carbon society 
  

Discussions were held on the various lead presentations made during the sessions.
